Swanville Museum

First meeting was on June 2021 the Committee Donny and Connie Olson, Royal Loven, Sandy Lange, Jen Kottschade, Bunny Johnston, Jim Loven, Pam Sutton, Vickie Spandl, Howard Hedin, Tom Beseman, Tom Kuehne, and Dianne Staricka met and came up with a plan.  They received a donation from the Swanville Lions of $60,000.00. The late Lowell Drager family donated many unique Swanville items that he collected over the years. Grand opening July 8th-10th, 2022 during the 49th Carnival. The Community center has a basement that can be rented out for meeting or events. To rent the basement, please call Julie at 547-2291.

 

The Basement is also considered the city's fall out area for emergencies.

Swanville Bible Church

Sunday Services are at 10:30 a.m. 

History.The Congregational Church of Swanville was organized in 1891 with ten members. The church building was erected in 1892. On May 28, 1927 a business was called to form a corporation. Chas E. Stith was elected chairman of the Trustee Board.  The name of this church would be "The First Congregational church of Swanville. According to church history, Dr. Frank Locke, a physician as well as a minister, was an early pioneer missionary. he organized and pastored both the Swanville and Burtrum churches. Swanville and Burtrum continued to share pastors until 1950's. In 1963 the name was changed to Swanville Bible Church.

Father Ron Dockendorf can be contacted at 547-2920. Daily Services are at 8:30 a.m., Saturday Services are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday Services are at 10.30 a.m.  

SWANVILLE SENIOR CENTER

Then Senior Center is locating on DeGraff Ave in the center of town. The Senior Center was build in 1985 with donations from community minded citizens and businesses, and especially the Swanville Lions. Click on Swanville Senior Center for more information and pictures.

THE SWANVILLE Rural Fire Association was formed in July, 1954.
Culdrum Township, Swanville Township and the Village of Swanville were the first members. The fire department also served Bruce and Burnhamville townships. Click on Swanville Rural Fire Association.
